Cetyl Alcohol

Cetyl alcohol is used in cosmetics as an opacifier, emollient, emulsifier, and thickening agent in products such as skin creams and lotions. 

People that suffer from eczema might be sensitive to cetyl alcohol, but it is thought its because of impurities rather than the cetyl alcohol itself as some medical treatments for eczema include cetyl alcohol.
