Calamine Powder

Calamine powder is made up of zinc oxide, a white powder, and a touch of iron oxide, a red pigment, making the end result a light pink powder.  Calamine powder reduces redness and swelling of infected skin conditions and can be used as a mild antiseptic to prevent infections.  It is seen in products such as lotions, diaper rash creams, and sunscreen.
